LAMPARD PROVIDES INJURY UPDATE ON WINGERS

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has provided the latest update on the injuries of wingers Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi. The Blues boss gave the update on the two Chelsea wingers during his post-match press conference after the final group game in Group E on Tuesday night. The Blues played hosts to Russian Premier League team Krasnodar at Stamford Bridge in their final group game of this season's Champions League.
On the two players, Frank Lampard does not expect Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi to return to his team until the end of this month. According to him, they went for scans on Monday and it showed that they would be out of action for around two weeks.

Frank Lampard added that Moroccan international Ziyech is most likely to return to action sooner out of the two players. He sustained the injury during the league win over Leeds United at Stamford Bridge at the weekend. Lampard and Chelsea came from behind to beat Leeds United 3-1 at home to continue their push for the title. The Blues are in third position on the league log and two points off leaders Spurs and Liverpool in second place after eleven matches this season.

On Callum Hudson-Odoi, Frank Lampard said that the England international picked up the injury in training some days ago and that they don't know what to expect with the injury problem. The early prognosis is that he would be out for at least two weeks.
With Chelsea confirmed as Group E winners before the Krasnodar game, the Blues rested several players for the Champions League clash. Frank Lampard made ten changes for the game from the starting line-up that prosecuted the win over Leeds United on Saturday night. Youngsters like Billy Gilmour and Tino Anjorin were given starts against the Russians. A Jorginho penalty cancelled out the opening goal from Krasnodar midfielder Remy Cabella as Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw with the Russians at home to preserve their unbeaten run in the competition this season.
