Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard reached yet another milestone after scoring 250 goals at club level following his goal against Stoke City during this weekend.

Lampard stepped up to take the penalty that would give him this milestone, but it was saved by goalkeeper Asmir Begovic. The rebound, though, fell kindly for the former West Ham man, who is regarded as one of the best to have represented the Chelsea. He is already the club’s all-time top scorer having recently crossed the 200 mark.

Frank Lampard has said that Chelsea should not be lackadaisical in their approach to the match against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge just because the gunners do not have trophy winning experience in recent years. Arsenal will be the visitors to Stamford Bridge this weekend and they will be hoping to enhance their chances of winning a trophy this campaign.

Training For Becoming A Coach

Frank Lampard might be the only one out of the three veterans to get a new contract at the end of the period. Lampard seems to be pleased with the new contract. He seems to be confident for signing up one more year at Chelsea and then turning to become a coach.

Frank Lampard and John Terry even at their fairly elevated age are still considered to be key figures for Chelsea and Jose Mourinho as they are regular starters for the Portuguese coach and are consistent players in the squad.

For the past few months Chelsea was at the verge of extending the current contract of both players and according to Mourinho, everything will come naturally.

Despite the recent changes that Chelsea has been experiencing in the past few years in which they have gone through 9 different managers, Frank Lampard believes the future is bright and better than ever with the return of Jose Mourinho.

‘After the instability of the past couple of years, it’s nice to be a bit more settled. Personally, I was delighted he returned because I knew what a great manager he’d be for the club and for me,’ Lampard told TalkSport.

The manager of Everton FC, Roberto Martinez, has hailed Gareth Barry for his performance in the match against Aston Villa and has said that the 32 years old midfielder can still make a comeback to the England team.

Barry was in great rhythm the other day at Villa Park and he guided the Toffees to a comfortable 2-0 win.

The England manager Roy Hodgson was also there to watch the game. He had actually come with the purpose of having a look at the young guns, but, he would have certainly been impressed to see one of the English veterans playing that way.

Chelsea managed to go second in the Barclays Premier league after a convincing 4-1 win over Cardiff city at Stamford Bridge. Frank Lampard played an influential role in the match. He had just returned from helping England qualify for the World Cup.

After the encounter, Lampard heaped praise on his Chelsea teammates by saying that they were extremely good throughout the 90 minutes. Chelsea did not start to the match well after conceding an early goal due to a lapse in concentration. David Luiz allowed Cardiff to open the scoring when he could have easily prevented it.

Mourinho outlines new role for Frank Lampard

Chelsea boss Joe Mourinho has admitted that he will have to use club legend Frank Lampard this season but believes the England man still has the feet to carve a niche for himself at the centre of the park, just as Claude Makelele did for himself in his first stint as Chelsea manager.

Great football game

For a lot of people watching same television programmes day in and day out can get quite repetitive and boring, because of this many people look for different things to do during their spare time. One of the most popular activities that people found was the online casino as it was easy to access and there are so many games that they were sure to find something to suit them.

Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez has said that the defence must improve substantially if they are to have any chance of beating Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday. Chelsea will be taking on Manchester City in the semifinals of the FA Cup. This is one of the toughest matches in the season for Chelsea.

It has just been made even more tough due to the marathon run of fixtures they have had in recent weeks. The team has played four matches in the last week alone, while they will be coming after a gruelling trip to Moscow to play against Rubin Kazan in the Europa league quarter-finals.

Even though they lost the match against Rubin Kazan 3-2, they managed to progress into the semifinals 5-4 on aggregate. Chelsea took the lead twice in the match, but they could not hold on to the lead for much longer, as they allowed the Russian team to totally dominate in the second half. Fernando Torres and Victor Moses scored the goals for Chelsea. John Terry was extremely poor at the back, as his defensive line allowed Rubin Kazan to take advantage. Chelsea would have gone out of the competition had they conceded two goals, which seemed like a real possibility at one stage in the match.

"We have to stop crosses and deal much better with them - things we couldn't do against Rubin. was happy with the first half, but we have to improve on our second-half performance. I'm disappointed because we didn't defend well in the second half. It is not just the defenders who have to improve, because it is the whole team who defends. We managed the squad and hopefully we'll have some fresh legs for Sunday too," said Benitez, who rested a number of key players against Rubin Kazan.
