LAMPARD, GOOD FIT FOR PALACE

Former Premier League striker Marlon Harewood is certain that Chelsea legend Frank Lampard would be a good replacement for Roy Hodgson as the Crystal Palace manager. Ex-Aston Villa and West Ham United attacker Harewood talked about Lampard and the Crystal Palace managerial job in a chat with media platform Football Fancast. According to him, Frank Lampard would do a good job at Selburst Park if the 42-year-old is named as the replacement for the ageing Hodgson at the South London club. Roy Hodgson is in the final few months of his contract as the Crystal Palace manager and he could leave this summer if the former England and Switzerland boss fails to sign a new deal at the club. Roy Hodgson has done a decent job at Crystal Palace this season after the win over West Brom at the weekend took the Eagles to 11th place on the league table. The South Londoners beat West Brom 1-0 at home courtesy the penalty from Serbian midfielder Luka Milovojevic to move within four points of the top half of the league table in the English top flight.

Frank Lampard is no longer with a managerial job after the Chelsea legend was sacked as manager of the Stamford Bridge outfit. The 42-year-old was dismissed as the Chelsea manager and replaced by German tactician Thomas Tuchel after a poor run of just three wins in nine league games. Lampard left the Blues in ninth place but Tuchel has done a fantastic job to lift the club into the top four. At the moment, Chelsea are fourth on the league table and they are perfectly placed for a Champions League spot ahead of the final nine matches in the league this season.

Lampard had a decent record as the Chelsea manager following the return of 44 wins from the 84 games managed by the ex-Blues midfielder. He lost 25 games and drew 15 games while he was in the Chelsea dugout. The all-time Chelsea goalscorerwas the manager at Stamford Bridge for 18 months before his dismissal in January 2021.
