Everton Sack Frank Lampard after Team’s Loss to West Ham

Everton sacked Frank Lampard, their manager after the defeat of the club to West Ham United by 2-0 pushed them to 19th position in the Premier League and without any wins across all competitions. The dismissal of Lampard follows Farhad Moshiri, the owner of Everton, attending his first match since 2021 in which the Toffees succumbed to their three successive losses in the league.


Frank Lampard, the former Chelsea player arrived at Goodison Park in 2022 January. Even though he helped the club being dropped in the last season, he is leaving with just 15 points in 20 games and 3 wins in his entire tenure, the worst win record in the division. They are in the 19th position in the Premier League and below them is Southampton because of the goal difference.

According to the reports, Sean Dyche, the former Burnley boss is among the candidates to have taken the job as the manager. The other candidates are Marcelo Bielsa the former Leeds boss and Thomas Frank of Brentford.
When Moshiri had been asked if Frank Lampard’s time is up, he said that it is not his decision. Also, Lampard said that it is his job to focus and work and has complete confidence in how he would like to coach.
He said that it is his job to focus and work while keeping his head down. Frank Lampard said that he is confident about how he wants to coach. According to him, if they are difficult conditions at a time, for various reasons that he is aware of, then that is it. He just needs to do his job and it is not for him to make diversions around it instead of talking about what effect he can bring. He just wants to get the results right.
